When building his consulting business, Dr. Sloan looked for symbols and language with a meaningful connection to his life and work. He has a deep passion for Chinese culture, which is at the core of his family, as his daughters were adopted in China. In Mandarin, “sheng” can represent both victory and health, and Dr. Sloan has spent his career in medicine, academia, and industry working toward the health of patients and their victory over disease. The icon that represents Sheng Consulting symbolizes the company’s mission to achieve victory for patients, whether through participation in clinical research or by fighting disease in partnership with their healthcare providers.
